When you are ready to purchase and have added items to your shopping cart - or indeed to check the shipping cost before deciding - go to your cart (click on "View Cart" or "Shopping Cart" dependent upon where you are in the site) and click the small button next to "Estimate Shipping & Taxes".
Then enter your basic location details, and click "Get Quotes", to see your shipping choices and costs.
From that point you can then either select "Apply Shipping" to continue the checkout procedure, or close the "pop up" window, to back out of the checkout process.
Deliveries to Scotland's Highlands & Islands postcode areas
Please be aware that our carriers charge us additional fees for delivering parcels to the below postcode areas in Scotland. This is beyond our control and common with most national carriers. To check the charges before completing your purchase, add items to your shopping cart, then click on the "Shopping Cart", followed by the section headed "Estimate Shipping & Taxes". Enter your Country, Region and Postcode, then click "Get Quotes" to see shipping charges for your location.

Many of our components and smaller parts are either available from stock or can be prepared, or obtained, and despatched within a few days. If an item is not likely to be available within our estimated availabilty times, there may be a delay in shipping your order. If timing is critical, or you are concerned about such a delay, please do contact us.
ONLNE SHOP ORDERS
Average availability is shown for each item in our online shop, on the product details page under the stock code. We will always endeavour to meet these times, but please bear in mind that sometimes delays can occur due to circumstances outside our control. If a delay occurs, If timing is critical, or you are concerned about such a delay, please do contact us.
For larger and made to order items, such as some laser cut and machined parts, chassis kits and assembled chassis please allow up to 28 days for despatch. Again the product detail page will give you an estimated availability time.
READY TO RUN WAGONS, LOCOMOTIVES AND BESPOKE ITEMS
For ready to run wagons, coaches, locomotives and other bespoke or built to order items, we can only advise an estimated despatch time at the time of ordering as this can vary dependent upon current workload. It is essential therefore that you contact us to discuss lead time options, alternative liveries etc before placing your order, especially where delivery time is important. Construction of wagons, coaches and locomotives can take from a few weeks, to several months depending on our current workload and order book. We unable to guarantee delivery times, we feel sure you would prefer to receive a well finished model, rather than a rushed substandard one!
NOTE: For these built to order items, we will require a deposit of 25% (+VAT) of the total order value, with the balance being due shortly before despatch of the order. We will advise when completion of your order is imminent and, usually at the painting stage, we will request payment of the balance, such that we can despatch you order with minimal delay once complete. In any case payment is required within 14 days of notification that your order is ready, even if you wish to delay delivery.
NB: Due to our limited storage space, we reserve the right to make an additional charge for storage, if we have to hold large items (wagons, chassis, locomotives etc) beyond 14 days from notification that the order is ready for despatch.
If convenient, you may arrange to call at our premises to collect your order, and we may occasionally arrange to deliver large items to you using our own transport, depending on distance and practicability.
